OWNER & CHIROPRACTOR
Dr. Andrew Carr, D.C.
A strong academic foundation.
A personal connection to your goals.
Wood River is home for Dr. Carr. He grew up here, graduated as valedictorian of East Alton Wood River High School, and went on to earn three degrees while building a foundation in biology, human biology, and chiropractic.
At Illinois College in Jacksonville, he balanced his biology studies with collegiate soccer and graduated magna cum laude in 2002. He then earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from Logan College of Chiropractic, graduating cum laude in April 2007.
That background informs an approach centered on the whole person: your health history, how you move, the demands of your day, and what you want to get back to doing. Dr. Carr explains his findings, talks through the options, and welcomes your questions. His range includes Diversified, Logan Basic, Cox flexion distraction, Thompson drop, and instrument-assisted adjustments, along with ART, Graston Technique, and trigger point therapy. When needed, he also creates personalized rehabilitation exercise and nutritional plans.
His commitment to this community continued through the COVID-19 pandemic, when he kept caring for Prime Health patients with a focus on individual attention and thoughtful care.
Beyond the office, he is a husband, father, and volunteer head coach and instructor at Oddfellows Grappling Club. He gives his time to teaching grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, helping people practice discipline, develop skills, and connect with a community. Family, movement, and service remain central to his life.
